With Warner Bros. and DC Films’ Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) gearing up for some additional photography, THR has revealed that John Wick director Chad Stahelski has been enlisted to help punch up the film’s action sequences.
Stahelski, whose stunt company 87 Eleven was already working on the Margot Robbie-headlined girl gang movie, is set to oversee second unit photography, and will also work with director Cathy Yan (who is making her studio debut on the film) to design and create new action sequences for the Suicide Squad spinoff.
As well as directing the three John Wick movies, Stahelski has plenty of experience overseeing second unit on action-heavy projects, having worked on the likes of The Hunger Games, The Expendables 2, Escape Plan, Hitman: Agent 47 and Captain America: Civil War.
