Tristan Ruggeri has been cast in Netflix’s upcoming The Witcher series as a young Geralt of Rivia.
Geralt of Rivia is set to be portrayed by Henry Cavill, famously known as Superman in the DCEU, in Netflix’s The Witcher. However, in the eighth episode of the series, as noticed by Redanian Intelligence, Geralt will also be portrayed by Tristan Ruggeri who has been listed on IMDB as young Geralt. According to IMDb, this will be Ruggeri’s first big role as an actor.
There is no additional information of the casting announcement or how extensive his role will be, but we can assume that Ruggeri will be featured in flashback sequences during the eighth episode, providing us with more context and deeper look into Geralt’s origin. We might even get a glimpse of the Trial of the Grasses, a ceremony where young Witchers are subjected to a bunch of alchemical ingredients to force mutations such as incredible speed, superhuman reflexes, strength, and cat-like eyes synonymous with Witchers. Or we could be seeing Geralt being trained by Vesemir at Kaer Morhen.
