Wesley Snipes has revealed some interesting details about his scrapped Black Panther movie.
Black Panther is an enormously successful entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but did you know that Wesley Snipes was once going to make an earlier version of the film that was ultimately scrapped?
In a recent interview with Kevin McCarthy, Snipes revealed details about the film and why it didn’t come together: “At that time, we didn’t actually have the technology, but we would have done all the Vibranium. All the x-ray vision and virtual operation and the whole nine of it. I wanted it to be like the comic book was [with a] super city and super science.
“I thought, ‘Well, this would be a cool opportunity for me to do something for truly my friends. All the martial arts cats, all the cats that love Shaft.'”

Snipes did hit it big with his own Marvel movie Blade but it’s interesting to think about how different his Black Panther might have been. Of course, fans can also look forward to a rebooted Blade in the near future, with Mahershala Ali taking on the role of the Daywalker for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
