Earlier this week the BBC revealed the first two special guest stars for the upcoming Series 12 of Doctor Who in Lenny Henry and Stephen Fry, and now this evening it has been revealed that both Goran Višnjić and Robert Glenister will be wandering across both Time and Space with the Doctor and her Companions -though for Robert Glenister it’ll feel like deja vu, as over three decades ago he starred in one of the greatest Doctor Who episodes ever.
“I first appeared in Doctor Who in The Caves of Androzani at the tender age of 24 in 1984, said Glenister. “Thirty five years later I got to be in it again at the not so tender age of nearly 60. How time flies!”
Making his Doctor Who debut, Goran Višnjić has plenty of experience around doctors after playing Luka Kovač on the television series ER, but how will he fare when he comes face to face with the Time Lord?
Speaking ahead of his debut Doctor Who appearance, Goran Višnjić said “I’ve always been a huge fan of Doctor Who, so when the offer to play one of my favorite people in history came, it made me so happy to be part of the show and it turned into this awesome, dream job!”

Meanwhile, it’s also been reported (but yet to be confirmed) that while it’s skipping a Christmas Special this year, fans will only have to wait until New Year’s Day for series 12 to begin, with the first of a two-part premiere episode airing on January 1st before settling into a regular Saturday slot from January 4th.
Doctor Who stars Jodie Whittaker (The Doctor), Bradley Walsh (Graham O’Brien), Mandip Gill (Yaz) and Tosin Cole (Ryan Sinclair).
