Nicolas Cage to battle monsters in Wally’s Wonderland

November 2, 2019 by Gary Collinson

As revealed by Deadline, Nicolas Cage is set to produce and star in Wally’s Wonderland, a horror-thriller from director Kevin Lewis (The Drop) and writer G.O. Parsons.

The film will see Cage portraying a janitor who is “forced to spend the night in a twisted amusement park where he is pulled into a living nightmare. As the threatening animatronic characters come to life, the janitor has to fight his way from one monster to another to survive until morning and get out of the park.”

“For me there was always one actor and one actor only who could make this movie work, and that actor is Nic Cage,” said Lewis. “I’m thrilled to be working with him and can’t wait to see him go up against Wally and his gang of psychopathic misfits. I see this movie as Pale Rider vs Killer Klowns from Outer Space.”

As usual, Cage has a host of projects on his upcoming slate. He’ll next be seen as a big game hunter battling a white jaguar and an assassin in Primal, while other projects include the H.P. Lovecraft adaptation Color Out of Space, the martial arts sci-fi Jiu Jitsu, truffle-hunting kidnap drama Pig, and post-apocalyptic action horror Prisoners of the Ghostland.
