Fans of Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye have faced a lengthy wait to see his Clint Barton take centre stage in his very own solo project, and so naturally it was panic stations yesterday when a rumour surfaced online claiming that Marvel had “indefinitely delayed” its Disney+ Hawkeye series.
Fortunately, it seems that isn’t the case after all, as reps for Disney have reportedly confirmed to Julia Alexander of The Verge that the rumour is “completely inaccurate” and the series presumably remains on track for its planned 2021 premiere.

The Hawkeye series will see Renner’s Clint joined by the character of Kate Bishop, his comic book protege and successor as Hawkeye. Bumblebee star Hailee Stenfield has been linked to the role of Kate since September of last year, but as yet her casting remains unconfirmed.
