Last week reports began circulating that Colin Trevorrow’s original script for Star Wars: Duel of the Fates had leaked, offering an insight into the Jurassic World helmer’s plans for Star Wars: Episode IX before he left the project due to creative differences with Disney and Lucasfilm.
With a batch of new concept art surfacing online that supports many of the details revealed in the script leak (including a Rey’s double-bladed lightsaber, a confrontation between Kylo Ren and Darth Vader, and the “death” of R2-D2), Trevorrow has now confirmed on Twitter that the leaks and artwork are indeed accurate.
Yes, this is from Duel of the Fates. But I’d never kill R2…he just took a bad hit. Happens to all of us. https://t.co/ekGMRUdV2g
