While we await confirmation on the reports that Sam Raimi is set to take on directing duties on the film, THR is reporting that Marvel Studios has tapped Loki head writer Michael Waldron to pen a rewrite of the script for next year’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Jade Bartlett was originally working on the script for the Doctor Strange sequel, but with original helmer Scott Derrickson departing due to creative differences, it seems that Marvel is now looking to revamp the project before moving into production. Whether this will impact the planned May filming start date and May 2021 release remains to be seen.
