Recently, Lionsgate announced a sequel to the Oscar-nominated murder mystery Knives Out has officially been greenlit with writer-director Rian Johnson returning alongside Daniel Craig’s Benoit Blanc.
However, Johnson has once again teased his upcoming sequel on the red carpet at the Academy Awards in an interview with Variety, claiming “all bets are off.”
“It’s going to be Daniel playing Benoit Blanc, the detective. Other than that, all bets are off. It’s a totally new cast,” Johnson said.
While the first Knives Out had a tremendous star-studded cast including Jamie Lee Curtis, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Toni Collette, and many more, Johnson continued to express his excitement to build up a new roster of actors and actresses for his upcoming sequel, stating that “I want everybody. I want everybody! Just point. Throw a rock on this red carpet and you’ll hit someone that I want in the movie.”
