While the production of the film is currently paused, that isn’t stopping star of the Fantastic Beasts series, Dan Fogler, from teasing what’s to come in the next instalment in J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World.
Fogler, who plays the loveable Jacob Kowalski in the Harry Potter prequel series, spoke to SYFY WIRE about what Fantastic Beasts 3 is planning and is promising fans of the franchise some “epic battle scenes.”
“It’s leading toward this massive war with the backdrop of World War II, so you can just imagine epic battle scenes are coming.”
He also expressed that the film is going back to its roots, saying, “I can say I read the script and the character development is really lovely, and it’s very similar to the feel of the first movie, which I think is great.”
Fogler went on to explain how the recent events around the globe have halted filming for the upcoming sequel, stating: “We’re just waiting. I guess when everybody else starts when the mechanism starts to move again, and everybody starts to get back to work, that’s when we’ll get back to work. Hhopefully, sooner than later.”
Fantastic Beasts 3 is currently scheduled for release on November 12th 2021. It is being directed by David Yates from a screenplay written by franchise creator J.K. Rowling and Steve Klovesm, and Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, Johnny Depp, Ezra Miller, Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler, Katherine Waterston, and Jessica Williams are all set to return as Newt Scamander, Albus Dumbledore, Gellert Grindelwald, Credence/Aurelius Dumbledore, Queenie Goldstein, Jacob Kowalski, Tina Goldstein, and Professor Eulalie Hicks respectively.
