Star Wars fans in the UK have faced a lengthy wait for the arrival The Mandalorian, and while we’re now just days away from the launch of Disney+, that doesn’t mean you’ll soon be able to binge watch the entire first season of the live-action show.
Disney has today confirmed their content release strategy in the UK for key Disney+ original series, which includes both The Mandalorian and the seventh and final season of the fan favourite animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Upon launch on March 24th, Star Wars fans will have access to the first two episodes of both The Mandalorian and The Clone Wars, while subsequent episodes will then drop every Friday from March 27th. With regards to The Clone Wars, Fridays will bring two brand new episodes through until April 17th, at which point one episode will be released weekly in line with the US.
The majority of Disney+’s other original series will have one episode apiece at launch, with subsequent episodes arriving every Friday. Beyond that of course, there’s also access to some 500 films and 300 series from Disney’s expansive library of movie and TV content.
