After the backlash against last year’s WWE 2K20, 2K Sports has announced that the annual WWE 2K series will be taking a break this year to allow developer Visual Concepts to refine the product. Instead, the publisher will court fan backlash with WWE 2K Battlegrounds, and arcade-style grappler from Saber Interactive, which received a rather, well… mixed reception when it was unveiled last night with the following launch trailer…
Described as “a completely new WWE gaming experience that will feature arcade-style action and over-the-top Superstar designs, environments and moves,” WWE 2K Battlegrounds is slated for release in Fall 2020.
