“What if you could rewrite the story?” That’s the central theme of Netflix’s Hollywood, and with the trailer just releasing, we have finally got our first look at Ryan Murphy and company’s rewritten Hollywood history.
Hollywood, which co-creator Ryan Murphy has described as a “love letter to the Golden Age of Tinseltown,” will see its debut on May 1st, and the first look at the Murphy and Ian Brennan-created limited drama brings viewers back to an alternate 1940s Hollywood, as well as following a few real-life figures from this period.

“HOLLYWOOD follows a group of aspiring actors and filmmakers in post-World War II Hollywood as they try to make it in Tinseltown — no matter the cost. Each character offers a unique glimpse behind the gilded curtain of Hollywood’s Golden Age, spotlighting the unfair systems and biases across race, gender, and sexuality that continue to this day.”
Hollywood features an all-star cast that includes Darren Criss, Samara Weaving, Holland Taylor, Dylan McDermott, Queen Latifah, Jim Parsons, and Patti LuPone. It is set for release on May 1st.
