Having recently extended his deal with Netflix once again for a further four movies, Adam Sandler and his Happy Madison Productions have now set their next project at the streaming giant.
As reported by Deadline, Sandler is set to star in Hustle, which will see him as “an American basketball scout who is unjustly fired after discovering a once-in-a-lifetime player abroad. The scout decides to bring him to the States to prove that they both have what it takes to make it in the NBA.”
Jeremiah Zagar (We the Animals) is directing the film from a script by Taylor Materne and Will Fetters, while Happy Madison will produce with LeBron James’ SpringHill Entertainment.
Netflix’s ongoing deal with Sandler has proven extremely successful, with his original movies having reportedly amassed over 2 billion hours of watch time and his most recent, Murder Mystery, was watched by 83 million accounts in its first week alone. Next up is Hubie Halloween, which is expected to arrive later in the year.
