Shailene Woodley would love to join the Star Wars franchise

May 7, 2020 by Samuel Brace

Shailene Woodley has expressed her desperation to join the Star Wars franchise in some capacity.

Getting a chance to be in a Star Wars project is a dream for many actors, with numerous high profile names even signing up for makes cameos as Storm Troopers, such as Daniel Craig.

Shailene Woodley, the star of the Divergent franchise and Big Little Liars, has revealed her love for Star Wars when speaking to Conan, describing her desperation to be in one of the films:

“It probably sounds crazy, if the opportunity to play a lead in a Star Wars film came around, listen…I wouldn’t say no. I also think it would just be really cool to be an extra. I think it would be very cool to put on a stormtrooper uniform and show up to set all day and sit there for 12 hours, doing the same walk back and forth, and just witnessing the magic. Because there’s something so magical about movies like that and part of being an actor is you see the inside of it and sometimes that’s great and sometimes that can take some of the magic away, so I don’t know if I’d want to ruin the magic for myself.”

Hopefully, Woodley gets her wish one of these days. It’s certainly not hard to imagine her joining the franchise in a prominent role. Would you like to see her in a Star Wars movie? Let us know in the comments below or on social media @flickeringmyth…
