Although very little is known regarding the plot of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2, Sony CEO Amy Pascal has teased the sequel will focus on Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy’s romance in between two universes. Additionally, the after-credits scene of the first movie featured Spider-Man 2099 Miguel O’Hara, who will most likely have an important role to play in the story, while Phil Lord has revealed that Takuya Yamashiro – a.k.a. Japanese Spider-Man – will also make an appearance.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2 is being directed by Joaquim Dos Santos (Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra), while Phil Lord and Christopher Miller will once again produce alongside Avi Arad and Amy Pascal.
