Early production on the third Ant-Man is currently underway at Marvel Studios and franchise director Peyton Reed has offered an update on the sequel while teasing the direction of the script.
During an interview with SiriusXM, Reed stated that while he wasn’t able to say much, the next instalment will be “much bigger” and “more sprawling” than Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp.
“We are working away through the pandemic,” Reed said. “There’s some really really really exciting things in store, none of which of course I could speak to you about right now, as is the Marvel way… I think the third Ant-Man movie is going to be a much bigger, more sprawling movie than the first two. It’s going to have a very different visual template.”

While Reed’s comments give very little to go on, we do know that Jeff Loveness, a writer and co-producer on Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty, has signed on to write the screenplay for Scott Lang’s third solo outing. Both Paul Rudd (Scott Lang) and Evangeline Lilly (Hope Van Dyne) are set to return alongside Michael Douglas who was already confirmed to be returning as Hank Pym.
