Joining the likes of Mulan and Pixar’s Soul, Disney has announced at its rather exciting investor day that the Robert Zemeckis directed live-action version of Pinocchio and David Lowery’s latest take on J.M. Barrie’s classic tale, Peter Pan and Wendy, will now skip cinemas altogether and find their home on Disney+

David Lowery has form in the Disney live-action arena having previously made the criminally underrated Pete’s Dragon, and here will direct Jude Law as Captain Hook, and Yara Shahidi as Tinkerbell.
Pinocchio is another oft-told tale, this time filtered through the unique lens of Robert Back to the Future Zemeckis, and starring Tom Hanks as Geppetto.
