For the first time in the history of World of Tanks players will be able to take to the battlefield in contemporary vehicles thanks to its latest evolution, World of Tanks Modern Armour. This new update will features new tanks, maps, consumables and more from the late 20th century. The new trailer below showcases these new vehicles in action.
World of Tanks Modern Armour launches with First Strike and sees two powerful alliances roll onto the battlefield, The Western Alliance (American) and Eastern Alliance (Soviet). These two sides will boast a combined total of 18 tanks with all available for players to research straightaway. The American tanks include M46A1 Patton, M47 Patton, M48A5PI Patton, M60’61 Patton, M60A1 Patton, M60A3 Patton, M1 Abrams, M1A1 Abrams and M1A2 Abrams. The Soviet forces include the T-72BM, T-44A, T-54 obr. 1949, Object 165, T-62, T-72A, T-72AV, T-72B and the T-72BU. There will also be two premium tanks available from this Cold War period.
As well as new tanks there are also 3D commanders, perks, new consumables such as smokescreens and hull patches, plus there are four new maps spanning across Southeast Asia, Germany, Norway and the Middle East, all of which are almost double the size of the current WWII maps.

World of Tanks Console will see more content added to Modern Armour over the coming months.
