Despite dropping from her role as Cara Dune in The Mandalorian (and all future projects such as the upcoming Star Wars: Rangers of the New Republic spinoff) due to her controversial social media activity this past February, it seems Disney hasn’t completed erased Gina Carano from the galaxy far, far away just yet as the former MMA star features on the Mouse House’s ‘For Your Consideration’ poster for the Emmy Awards.
As you can see on the poster below, Carano is being pushed for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the hit streaming series, although given the names that Disney are championing in the Guest Actor field, one does have to wonder whether this might be some kind of contractual thing, as opposed to a serious attempt to score some nominations?
Either way, it will certainly be interesting to see how Disney reacts if they’re successful in their lobbying and Carano finds herself nominated…
