Amazon Studios is teaming with Westworld creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy’s Kilter Films for the new horror anthology show Unknown.
Developed by Craig Macneill and Clay Chapman (The Boy), Unknown is described as “a psychological horror anthology series that plunges into the corners of the American landscape, probing the intersection of folklore and our bloody history of true crime.”
The first season of Unknown will revolve around “an estranged brother and sister, who return to the Texas Killing Fields, only to encounter a dark spirit that inhabits the region from their childhood.”
Nolan and Joy are currently under an overall deal with Amazon Studios, where they are also producing the upcoming sci-fi series The Peripheral starring Chloe Grace Moretz and Jack Reynor.
