Lindsay Lohan is teaming with Netflix for an as-yet-untitled holiday romantic-comedy feature, Deadline has revealed.
The Mean Girls star has only made a handful of feature film appearances in the past decade including 2013’s The Canyons and 2019’s Among the Shadows, and was recently seen in season two of the UK comedy series Sick Note alongside Rupert Grint and Nick Frost.
The new film is being directed by Janeen Damian and follows “a newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress (Lohan) who gets into a skiing accident and, suffering from amnesia, finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas.”
The film is being produced by MPCA, Netflix’s go-to producer for Christmas-themed comedies, including A Christmas Prince, The Princess Switch and Operation Christmas Drop.
