One of pop culture’s most beloved groups of heroes is preparing for another round of pizza and the big screen. We previously reported about the upcoming CG-animated reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but now we have a release date for this new film.
From producer Seth Rogen and Nickelodeon, Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello will return to cinemas on August 11th, 2023. Rogen took to his Twitter to share the date, as well as notebook doodles filled with details. Check out the tweet below:

Jeff Rowe, co-director and writer for Netflix’s animated movie The Mitchells vs. the Machines, will helm the film. Brendan O’Brien will write the reboot; O’Brien has teamed with Seth Rogen before as he’s written both Neighbors and Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising.
This new film will mark the second animated theatrical Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film. In 2007, TMNT was released and saw the likes of Chris Evans and Sarah Michelle Gellar on the voice cast. The franchise has seen five other big-screen releases, all live-action, with the last two featuring computer-generated turtles. Altogether, these films have grossed over a billion dollars at the box office.
