As rumours continue to swirl around Charlie Cox’s potential involvement with Spider-Man: No Way Home (not to mention the recent chatter about Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk returning in Hawkeye), it seems we won’t have long until we learn either way whether Marvel Studios has any intention of incorporating elements of Netflix’s cancelled Marvel shows into the MCU.
Cox isn’t the only member of The Defenders who’s been rumoured to make the jump to the MCU proper, as Jessica Jones star Krysten Ritter has previously been tipped for an appearance in Marvel’s She-Hulk series on Disney+, and while the actress wasn’t giving anything away during a recent interview, Ritter did admit that she’d jump at the chance to return as the hard-drinking PI.
“I would absolutely just die to play Jessica again,” Ritter told Screen Rant. “I had the best time doing it and I just love her so much. I’m so proud of that character. Not only because it was like a great role and she’s such a bad-ass, but that character has really resonated with people in a way that I don’t know who else has. Really, really resonated with women and girls, trauma survivors. It’s just so, so big and such a thing I’m so grateful to have been a part of. So if there’s ever an opportunity for me to put on those boots, I will be there in a flash.”
What are your thoughts? Can you see Marvel bringing back any of The Defenders, even if they’re just “variants” of the ones we’ve seen on Netflix? Let us know on our social channels @FlickeringMyth…
