Deadline reports that the musical drama Taurus from director Tim Sutton (The Last Son) and starring Colson Baker, better known as musician Machine Gun Kelly, has just added several actors to its ensemble.
Joining the film is Baker’s girlfriend and Midnight in the Switchgrass co-star Megan Fox (Till Death) along with Maddie Hasson (Malignant), Scoot McNairy (The Quiet Place Part II), Ruby Rose (Batwoman). Demetrius ‘Lil Meech’ Flenory (Euphoria), and musicians Lil Tjay and Naomi Wild.
Taurus, which was formerly known as Good News, follows “a rising but troubled musician (Baker) as he spends his days and nights searching endlessly for the inspiration to record one last song. His sister-like assistant (Maddie Hasson) wants to save him, his collaborators (Scoot McNairy, Lil Meech and Lil TJay) want him in the studio, while his dealer (Ruby Rose) and his ex (Megan Fox) push him deeper into the void. The movie explores the darkness of fame, addiction, the artistic process and the music industry.”
Sutton wrote the script himself from an original idea. Producing the film are Jib Polhemus with Rivulet Media’s President Rob Paris and COO Mike Witherill.
