Ahead of its exclusive debut on the HBO Max streaming service later this year, Evil Dead franchise creator and producer Sam Raimi has teased the upcoming fifth instalment, Evil Dead Rise.
During an interview with SlashFilm, Raimi confirmed that he has seen several cuts of the film and he believes that Evil Dead Rise will “knock people’s socks off.”
“I’ve seen a rough cut [of Evil Dead Rise], a medium fine cut, and a fine cut. There’s probably a few changes that Lee Cronin is making that I haven’t seen, but it’s great. It’s terrifying and it’s going to knock people’s socks off.”

Evil Dead Rise is directed by Lee Cronin (The Hole in the Ground) and stars Alyssa Sutherland (Vikings), Lily Sullivan (Mental), Morgan Davies (The End), Nell Fisher (Northspur), Gabrielle Echols (Reminiscence) and Mia Challis (Clickbait). Franchise creator Sam Raimi and Ash star Bruce Campbell executive produce.
