Dark creators return to Netflix with trailer for historical horror 1899

Netflix has released a teaser trailer for 1899, the upcoming historical horror from the creators of the hit German original series Dark which follows a group of multinational immigrants aboard a ship as their passage to the promised land turns into a horrifying nightmare.

Watch the teaser below along with a behind the scenes featurette which sees the creators discuss bringing the series to life…

1899. A migrant steamship heads west to leave the old continent. The passengers, a mixed bag of European origins, united by their hopes and dreams for the new century and their future abroad. But their journey takes an unexpected turn when they discover another migrant ship adrift on open sea. What they will find on board, will turn their passage to the promised land into a horrifying nightmare.

1899 will premiere on Netflix later this year.
