Zac Efron was last seen playing a dad to a kid with pyromaniac tendencies in Firestarter, Nicole Kidman was facing a marriage crisis while delivering an Oscar-nominated turn in Being the Ricardos, and Joey King was caught up in Welcome to the Blumhouse’s The Lie. Well, now the trio have decided to lighten up by signing on to star in a Netflix comedy from Behind the Candelabra’s Richard LaGravenese.
According to Deadline the untitled comedy will be about “a surprising romance which kicks off comic consequences for a young woman, her mother and her movie star boss as they face the complications of love, sex, and identity.”
LaGravenese will direct from a script he co-wrote with Carrie Solomon (Margot Robbie’s Ocean’s 11 reboot), while Joe Roth, Jeff Kirschenbaum and Alyssa Altman are producing for Roth/Kirschenbaum Films.
Efron is currently filming Peter Farrelly’s The Greatest Beer Run Ever for Apple, while we’re about to see King in 20th Century Studios and Hulu’s action fantasy The Princess, which hits streaming on July 1st.
