A few months on since its last update, we finally have news on the decades-in-development Beverly Hills Cop 4, which Deadline has revealed to be officially titled Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley.
According to Deadline, Taylour Paige (Zola) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Pinocchio) have signed on to appear alongside Eddie Murphy in the anticipated sequel, although details on their characters are being kept under wraps.
A fourth Beverly Hills Cop has been long in the making with numerous false starts and delays. After passing through the hands of many directors, including Bad Boys for Life and Batgirl’s Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley is now set be directed by Australian filmmaker Mark Molloy from a script by Will Beall.
Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley will see Murphy reprising his role as the streetwise Detroit cop Axel Foley as as well as producing alongside Jerry Bruckheimer, Chad Oman and Melissa Reid for Jerry Bruckheimer Films.
