During July’s San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios announced that it would be closing out Phase Five of the MCU with a Thunderbolts movie, and now we have official word as to the antiheroes who’ll be assembling as part of the team.
As revealed in the above promotional artwork at yesterday’s D23 Expo presentation, the cast of the Thunderbolts movie will feature (from left to right) Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr/Ghost, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Wyatt Russell as John Walker/US Agent and Olga Kurylenko as Antonia Dreykov/Taskmaster.
Marvel stopped short of revealing any additional details beyond the promo art, and so it remains to be seen if other familiar faces will appear in the film – particularly Daniel Bruhl’s Baron Zemo, who many fans expected to feature or even lead the Thunderbolts given his connection to the team in the comic books.
