In a new story from Deadline, it seems like the Marvel Cinematic Universe may have found its Mephisto in the form of Sacha Baron Cohen, and he’ll join the brand for its upcoming Ironheart show.
Per Deadline, “a source close to the production confirmed to Deadline that there is talk on the set about Cohen being part of Ironheart, likely playing Mephisto” and that the Borat actor was recently spotted at Marvel’s facilities at the UK’s Pinewood Studios.
According to the report , there’s talk that Cohen is on board for multiple projects as Mephisto, and that he could follow his debut in Ironheart by next appearing in the WandaVision spin-off series Agatha: Coven of Chaos.

Marvel’s Ironheart features a cast that includes Dominique Thorne (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), Lyric Ross (This Is Us), Anthony Ramos (In the Heights), Manny Montana (Good Girls), Shea Coulée (RuPaul’s Drag Race), Zoe Terakes (Nine Perfect Strangers), Regan Aliyah (XO, Kitty), Shakira Barrera (GLOW), Rashida Olayiwola (South Side) and Alden Ehrenreich (Solo: A Star Wars Story).
Ironheart will be showrun by Chinaka Hodge (Amazing Stories, Snowpiercer), who also serves as head writer, with Sam Bailey (Brown Girls) and Angela Barnes (Mythic Quest) directing. Black Panther director Ryan Coogler will executive produce the series with Hodge and Zinzi Coogler and Sev Ohanian alongside Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, and Zoie Nagelhout.
