As we board the hype train for Star Wars: Ahsoka, fan favourite acrtess Mary Elizabeth Winstead is now confirmed for the Ahsoka series, which has been rumored for quite some time, and will reportedly star as Twi’tek pilot and Rebel commander Hera Syndulla in a new report from Bespin Bulletin.
Syndulla was briefly spotted in a teaser at the Star Wars Celebration but the character and actor has yet to be officially confirmed. The latest tease for Star Wars: Ahsoka came from a recent sizzle reel of Disney+’s upcoming slate.
The character is originally from Star Wars: Rebels, which Dave Filoni created. The filmmaker is set to write and direct multiple episodes. Hera Syndulla is not the only Rebels character returning, as the Ahsoka series is looking to be a reunion of the animated series.

The cast includes Rosario Dawson as the titular Ahsoka Tano, Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader, Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, and Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren. Ivanna Sakhno, Lars Mikkelsen, and Ray Stevenson also star in the series in as-yet-unconfirmed roles.
Star Wars: Ahsoka is coming to Disney+ in 2023.
