This year isn’t just about The Little Mermaid, because DreamWorks have got their own underwater hero looking to break the surface at the box-office in the form of Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken.
Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken features an all-star cast that includes Lana Condor (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before) as the titular Kraken, Toni Collette (Knives Out) as her supermom, Jane Fonda (Barbarella) as her grandmother, Colman Domingo (Fear the Walking Dead) as Ruby’s supportive dad, Sam Richardson (Veep) as Ruby’s enthusiastic uncle, Blue Chapman (Council of Dads) as Ruby’s cool little brother, as well as Will Forte (The Last Man on Earth), Nicole Byer (Nailed It!), Liza Koshy (Liza on Demand), Ramona Young (Never Have I Ever), Eduardo Franco (Stranger Things) and Echo Kellum (Arrow).
