Five years since Den of Thieves grossed $80 million at the worldwide box-office, the sequel has rounded up its crew/ensemble to star alongside Gerard Butler’s returning Detective Nick “Big Nick” O’Brien in Den of Thieves 2: Pantera.
According to Deadline, as well as being reunited with O’Shea Jackson Jr.’s Donnie Wilson, Butler will be joined by Salvatore Esposito (Gomorrah), Orli Shuka (Gangs of London), Evin Ahmad (Who Is Erin Carter?), Velibor Topic (Outside the Wire), Antonio Bustorff (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One), Cristian Solimeno (The Glass Man), Nazmiye Oral (Propaganda), Yasen Zates Atour (The Witcher), Giuseppe Schillaci (Romulus), Dino Kelly (Peaky Blinders), and Rico Verhoeven (Black Lotus).
Writer-director Christian Gudegast is once again orchestrating the action, which will find Big Nick (Butler) back on the hunt in the mean streets of Europe, closing in on Donnie (Jackson Jr.), who has become embroiled in the dangerous world of diamond thieves and the infamous Panther mafia, as they plot a massive heist of the world’s biggest diamond exchange.
The report states that Den of Thieves: Pantera wrapped principal photography on July 5th, so we can probably expect to see it sometime in early 2024.
