As Marvel heads into 2024, the powerhouse studio hopes to regain its footing after rough years.
One of their biggest to-dos is handling the Kang situation following the firing of Jonathan Majors. It seems like Marvel is weighing its options, and recasting has begun to lead the way as the best solution.
But who can replace Majors in the role he first claimed in Loki Season 1 and has appeared in two other projects since? One of the names popping up is the mega-talented Colman Domingo. Scooper Daniel Richtman broke the news (via DanielRPK) that Domingo is apparently one of the actors in the running for Kang the Conqueror.
Little is known about the possible replacement process, but quite a few actor’s names are floating around. Colman Domingo seems to be at the forefront, possibly due to the actor appearing in two awards contenders this year. He’s fresh off Netflix’s Rustin and the musical hit The Color Purple. Domingo is best known for AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead and HBO’s Euphoria.
Domingo would replace Jonathan Majors, who was recently fired after facing legal issues. Since the firing, fans have been vocal about who they would like to see in the role of Kang. Fans have mentioned actors, including John David Washington, Chukwudi Iwuji, and John Boyega, though the latter has shut down the fan talk.
Stay tuned to Flickering Myth to see who (if anyone) lands the role of Kang the Conqueror.
