505 Games announces Grow: Song of the Evertree for PC and consoles

June 7, 2021 by Andrew Newton

505 Games and developer Prideful Sloth have announced they will be releasing Grow: Song of the Evertree on Xbox One, Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC later this year.  This world-crafting sandbox game will bring life management and exploration elements to players as they explore the world of Alaria.  A new announcement trailer can be seen below….

The world of Alaria was once a vibrant and colourful world but over time has been abandoned and overrun by the mysterious Withering.  The land of Alaria is a shadow of its former self and the magnificent Evertree, whose many worlds were contained on its branches, is now merely a sapling.

Taking the role of an Everheart Alchemist, players will learn how to grow and develop new worlds that will once again live within the branches of the Evertree.  As these new and unique worlds grow the old inhabitants will return and players will be able to meet these characters and learn their story.

There are unique places to find, interesting flora and fauna to discover and puzzles to solve as players explore this world.  Players are also able to spend their time collecting minerals and flowers, fishing, catching insects or build a variety of structures.

“With Grow we wanted to create a game that gave the player a sense of adding to the world, rather than taking away from it. This world is a giant garden, a place where you can tend and care for it, guiding it in the direction you wish it to grow,” said Cheryl Vance, Game Designer at Prideful Sloth. “We give you the ability to craft and customise your game experience; to let you determine the pace in which you do it. If you find a cave and get sidetracked from your current objective, that’s ok! If you want to befriend as many critters as you can, that’s ok, too. You are encouraged to play the way you want to, without penalty or pressure.”

Grow: Song of the Evertree will be coming to PC and consoles later this year.
