Xavier Dolan’s It’s Only the End of the World sees strong sales in Cannes

May 13, 2015 by Scott J. Davis

Cannes is almost upon us, and many distributors have moved early to snap up some of the hottest new films in the festival, with Seville International enjoying strong pre-sales for the distribution rights for Xavier Dolan’s new film, It’s Only the End of the World.

Seville, which is a sales arm of Entertainment One, has already sold the film to many international territories, including Artificial Eye and Curzon, who have snapped up deals for UK distribution.

The film stars Marion Cotillard (Two Days, One Night), Léa Seydoux (Blue Is The Warmest Colour) Vincent Cassel (Black Swan), Nathalie Baye (Catch Me If You Can) and Gaspard Ulliel (Saint Laurent), and is based on a play by Jean-Luc Lagarce about a writer who returns to his hometown to tell his family about his upcoming death.

It’s Only The End of the World is set for release in 2016.
