With Josh Trank vacating the director’s chair on the second Star Wars Anthology movie, Disney and Lucasfilm have a vacancy for a filmmaker in a galaxy far, far away, and now Jeff Sneider of The Wrap is reporting on Meet the Movie Press that Michelle MacLaren has met with the studio about the project.
MacLaren, whos previous credits include episodes of Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones, recently vacated a film herself, parting ways with Warner Bros. and its DC movie Wonder Woman.

It should probably be noted that there’s a big difference between taking a meeting with a studio and entering negotiations, so by no means is this confirmation that MacLaren will end up taking on the gig.
