Remember Rampage, the classic 80s arcade game where you had to trash a selection of high-rise buildings as George (a.k.a. Not King Kong), Lizzie (a.k.a. Not Godzilla) and Ralph (a.k.a. Giant Werewolf)? Well, it’s coming to a big screen near you, and Dwayne Johnson is set to star.
The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Johnson will team up with San Andreas producer Beau Flynn for a live-action adaptation of the Midway video game for New Line Cinema. The project is yet to find itself a director, but Ryan Engle (Non-Stop) is currently penning the script.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but you’d have to imagine Johnson will find himself leading the battle for survival against the rampaging monsters.
