It’s already enjoyed the biggest domestic and worldwide opening weekends in history, and now Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War is set to break another record, becoming the fastest movie to gross $1 billion at the global box office.
Having pulled in $905.1 million by close of play on Thursday, Infinity War will hit the $1 billion mark either today (Friday) or tomorrow (Saturday), which means it will have broken the milestone in either ten or eleven days from its international release date on April 25th.
The previous record was 12 days, achieved by Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 2015.
Infinity War will retain top spot at the box office this weekend, with new releases in North America including Overboard, Tully and Bad Samaritan.
