20th Century Fox certainly hasn’t been afraid to push the envelope with its Deadpool franchise, and so far the results have been pretty spectacular, with the original movie going on to become the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time upon its release in 2016.
This boundary pushing will continue this week at the hotly-anticipated Deadpool 2 arrives in cinemas. However, it seems that one sequence took things too far, even for the Merc with a Mouth as GamesRadar reports that the studio has cut one of the film’s post-credits scenes, which sees Wade Wilson travelling back in time.
According to the site, the scene in question sees “Deadpool in a newborn ward. Standing next to A Hitler. He goes back and forth on doing it. A baby cries and he says “Shut up Ira, you’ll thank me someday!”. Finally, he goes for it, then baby Hitler’s POV as Deadpool strangles him.’”
A report back in March suggested that said scene was one of the movie’s best, but in fairness, it’s not hard to see why they’ve taken the decision to leave this on the cutting room floor.
