In this (abridged) edition of The Week in Spandex, we round up all the big superhero news coming out of the San Diego Comic-Con…
Well, the curtain has fallen on the geek mecca that is San Diego Comic-Con for another year, and over the past four days we’ve been treated to a wealth of superhero movie and TV goodness, as Warner Bros. unveiled its two big superhero offerings of 2016 in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad as well as its ever-increasing roster of DC TV shows, 20th Century Fox showcased the upcoming release Fantastic Four, along with next year’s Deadpool and X-Men: Apocalypse, and Marvel… well, Marvel decided to skip it this year, but we’ve still got some MCU news, including promotional material for Ant-Man ahead of its arrival this Friday, and Wesley Snipes revealing that he’s held talks to reprise the role of Blade?!
Now, an apology. It’s a condensed Week in Spandex here, in that it’s a list of links to all the various stories we’ve posted over the weekend, without commentary. After more than 250 Comic-Con posts in the past four days, I’m feeling a little tired… still, have a trawl through all of the news in case you missed anything, and we’ll be back with the usual Week in Spandex format this coming Saturday, for what will probably be quite a quiet week after the SDCC superhero blowout!
