The latest developer update video for Overwatch has been released and announces several new features that will allow players greater control over their gameplay experience. This video, hosted by Overwatch’s Creative Director Jeff Kaplan, can be seen below…
As mentioned above, Overwatch Patch 1.25 adds several new features but the most notable of these is a new Endorsement system. When a player finishes a match they can give out an endorsement to other players based on positive behaviour during the game. Players can be endorsed for being a Good Teammate, Shotcaller and Good Sportsmanship and every endorsement a player receives helps towards progressing their Endorsement Level, not only that, by giving an endorsement players will receive +50xp toward their overall level.
Other features of Patch 1.25 include:
- More options for creating groups, allowing players to form their own groups, arrange roles and team compositions and make restrictions based on Endorsement Levels etc.
- Players can now set their profiles to Private, Friends Only or Public.
- The Horizon Lunar Colony map is being reworked to help balance the map.
- Symmetra is having changes made to her primary fire, secondary fire, both of her abilities and a new Ultimate Ability.
- Defence and Attack roles are now replaced by the Damage role.
Patch 1.25 for Overwatch is currently available for those in PTR (Public Test Region) and will be coming soon to all formats.
