The Losers Club has finally been put together for It: Chapter Two with the casting of Isaiah Mustafa (Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments) as the adult Mike Hanlon. Chosen Jacobs, the young actor who played Mike in the first film, revealed the news over his Instagram page which Mustafa later confirmed on his own page.
Unlike the other characters in the Losers Club, Mike decided to stay behind in Derry and is the only one who completely remembers their experience against Pennywise. He becomes the town librarian to research Derry’s history and when Pennywise returns, he calls his friends to come back to Derry so they can fulfill their promise.
Mustafa, who is also known for starring in the Old Spice deodorant commercials that brought him to fame, joins a cast that includes Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy and Bill Hader as Beverly, Bill and Richie while James Ransone will play Eddie, Andy Bean as Stanley and Jay Ryan as Ben Hascom.
It: Chapter Two will see Bill Skarsgard reprising his role as Pennywise the Dancing Clown, while Jaeden Lieberher, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff and Chosen Jacobs are also expected to reprise their roles from the first movie in flashback sequences. Director Andy Muschietti is returning to helm the second chapter.
