The most tweeted about movies, TV shows and celebrities from Comic-Con 2015

July 14, 2015 by Gary Collinson

The San Diego Comic-Con took place over the weekend (which I’m sure you’re more than aware about), and Twitter has been analysing social media activity over the past few days to work out the most tweeted-about movies, TV shows and celebrities during the convention.

So, what was the most popular movie on the social media site? Surely it’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens, right? Wrong. No, it’s not Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice either, but rather The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 – while – unsurprisingly – Jennifer Lawrence was also the most-tweeted about celebrity.

Here’s the breakdown, courtesy of Twitter:

Top 5 Movies

1. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2
2. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
3. Star Wars: The Force Awakens
4. Suicide Squad
5. Justice League

Top 5 TV Shows

1. Once Upon a Time
2. Arrow
3. Supernatural
4. Teen Wolf
5. The Vampire Diaries

Top 5 Celebrities

1. Jennifer Lawrence
2. Jared Padalecki
3. Jensen Ackles
