Update 0.7.6 is set to arrive for World of Warships players this Thursday (28th June) and continues to update the American tech tree with four new ships in the light cruisers branch. The update also introduces the Arsenal for trading items, a new operation, a revamped Port and much more. As usual Dash Perova introduces the latest update in the video below…
With update 0.7.6 players can say hello to the Tier VI Dallas, Tier VII Helena, Tier IX Seattle and Tier X Worcester, all of which are maneuverable support ships that carry rapid firing 152 mm main battery guns. From Tier VIII these vessels can make simultaneous use of Surveillance Radar, Hydroacoustic Search and Defensive AA Fire although they have a moderate HP and poor armour so don’t expect to be able to move them into the thick of the fighting.
Arsenal is the brand new feature where players who reach Level 8 on their Service Record can exchange Coal and Steel for signal flags, camouflage patterns, ships, containers and special upgrades. Coal and steel can be earned by completing combat missions, achieve a high rank and perform well in clan battles.
Cherry Blossom is a brand new Operation inspired by the Battle of Empress Augusta Bay that occurred on the night of the 2nd November 1943. Players can face off against the Japanese forces in British, American, French or Soviet Tier VIII cruisers and will need to to defend the troopers and attack the enemy base. This Operation will be the default operation for the two weeks following the release of Update 0.7.6 after which it will be included in the standard rotation.
With the 4th of July just around the corner the Port of New York will get a celebratory overhaul with fireworks crackling high above the city and searchlights showing off silhouettes of skyscrapers.
