Oscar nominee Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl) has signed on to star alongside Jon Hamm (Mad Men) in the political action thriller High Wire Act. The project has been scripted by Tony Gilroy (The Bourne Identity), with Brad Anderson (The Machinist) set to direct.
Set in Beirut in the 1980s, High Wire Act sees Hamm as a former U.S. diplomat who is called back into service to save a former colleague from the group possibly responsible for his own family’s death. Pike will play a CIA field agent working undercover at the American embassy who’s tasked with keeping Hamm’s character alive and ensuring the mission is a success.
