With just two episodes of Cloak & Dagger remaining, it was announced yesterday during the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel that Freeform has officially ordered a second season of the Marvel series; here’s the official poster and announcement video, which promises that “Season 2 will be Mayhem”.
As fans of Cloak & Dagger will know, Mayhem is the alter-ego of Detective Brigid O’Reilly (played in the series by Emma Lahana), who is reborn as a merciless vigilante after being killed in the line of duty. While the above doesn’t exactly confirm this storyline will be playing out in the second season, it’s certainly a rather large hint.
Before we get ahead of ourselves, we do still have two episodes of the first season remaining, and Marvel and Freeform also unveiled a sneak peek trailer teasing the final two episodes; check it out here…
