While Marvel Studios was absent from Comic-Con, this past weekend brought some huge news regarding the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Disney firing director James Gunn from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in relation to some old tweets from the filmmaker where he made offensive jokes about rape and paedophilia.
Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista wasted little time in defending his director and expressing his disappointment at the decision, and now co-stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Karen Gillan have also taken to social media to weigh in on the situation.

It’s been a challenging weekend I’m not gonna lie. I’m pausing myself to take everything in before I speak out of term. I just want everyone to know I love ALL members of my GOTG family. Always will.

Love to every single member of my GOTG family.

Just to clarify, I'll speak more on this later but just wanted to make sure that was out there. Love to you all.
