Inside Out has been going great guns at the US box office since its release on June 19th, and this week has seen it become the eighth successive Pixar film to cross the $500 million mark at the worldwide box office.
The Disney-Pixar film passed the milestone on Tuesday, and by Wednesday the film had grossed $510.1 million across the globe, with some territories still to open in including the UK, where the film opens today. It made $90.4 million in its opening weekend in the US.

Domestically, the film has grossed over $311.5 million, and is now the third highest grossing Pixar film of all time in the US, behind Toy Story 3 ($415 million) and Finding Nemo ($339.7 million). It currently stands at eleventh on the Pixar all time worldwide grosses list. Inside Out is also Disney’s third release this year to pass the half-billion-dollar threshold, joining Avengers: Age of Ultron ($1.39 billion) and Cinderella ($539 million).
